It is a matter of immense satisfaction that since its inception, PRIDE has conducted 4502

training programmes so far, in which 1,65,422 participants attended. It is also a matter
of pride that 8,127 foreign participants have taken advantage of the resources that

PRIDE has to offer of whom 114 were members of Parliaments and Legislatures from
friendly nations. In this scenario, it may not be an exaggeration to claim that PRIDE is

well on its way to be recognised as an international centre of excellence for training in
Parliamentary systems of governance.

The coffee table book being brought out by PRIDE on this occasion will help illustrate

the memorable journey of the organisation by curating documents, photographs,
recollections and other relevant information. We express our sincere gratitude to

Shri Om Birla, Hon’ble Speaker, Lok Sabha, for his initiative, guidance and constant
encouragement which has served as an inspiration in bringing out this publication. It is

hoped that readers will find the coffee table book informative in a subject in which to
find a document is rare.

I also take this opportunity to compliment Shri Prasenjit Singh, Additional Secretary

and Team PRIDE for this well conceived venture.
