       Out of these 233 pages, 124 pages have been decorated
       and illuminated and are in the safe custody of this
       Secretariat and 108 are in Santiniketan. Out of
       these 124 illuminated pages about 15 first pages of
       each Part have again to be sent to Santiniketan for
       depicting historical scenes.

         10. The following further decisions were taken by
       the Honourable the Speaker in consultation with the
       Honourable the Prime Minister regarding the calligra­
       phy work:
           (i) That the work of decoration and illumination
               will be done in respect of both the English
               and Hindi copies of the calligraphed Constitu­
               tion.
           (ii) 1000 copies of each of the two Editions will
               be printed by the Surveyor-General by off-set
               photo-printing process in colours, size to be
               reduced by one third.
           (iii) Signatures of Members also will be printed
               at the end.
         11. The English calligraphist did not give any terms
       and left the question of honorarium to the Honourable
       the Speaker. He was provided with free board and
       lodging at the Constitution House for about five
       months during which period he was receiving full
       salary at about Rs. 325 per month from his employers,
       Messrs. Govan Brothers. It was decided to pay him
       Rs. 1500 as a lump sum on the basis of Rs. 5 per page
